is there any way to hide the 'my computer' group? if i want to see it, can i have it hide until i click on it? very nice idea to see my comp's information, just that i want to see only my icons.

Yup.
On 8Start, there's a Menu button at the bottom right hand corner.
Click on that and select <b>Settings...</b>
Unselect all the drives there by clicking on it once.
It's under this section: <b>First, I like your help to show the information of the drives I highlighted below.</b>
Then click on <b>That's all, please apply all the change now, thanks</b>.

that actually worked... it's done in a weird way, cause i didn't know you had to click the drive again to deselect it, there's no radio button or anything.
