I too have a need for Unicode support and would like to get some guidance on this issue.

I have tried the unicode support, but failed to do that. This is due to the limitation of the programming language. There may have some solutions there, I shall keep on trying.
If you want support only one other language (e.g. display chinese character), you can set it in windows 'Regional and Language Options' > Language for non-unicode program
