Hallo,
I tried the 8start software for several weeks and ist great, but since
Monday i have a problem:
I can start 8start and change my registers. I also can administrate the Buttons and shortcuts, but since monday i can't aktivate any buttons in regular working 8start.
Tooltips are coming up, when mouse is over position, but nothing happens
when i click a button.
When i goes to administration and open file-exploer the shortcuts are
functional and starts when i'm clicking them, but not in 8start-bar itself.
uninstall, cleaning regestry, restart and new install dosn't solve the problem, so i need help to get the 8start functional again. (OS= WIN-XP 32bit + SP3)

I solved the Problem. In another Thread i found the followig solution:
Use regedit und search for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile, there add an charakterstring named "IsShortcut", the value is "" (empty)
this fixed my problem and now it's running fine again.

I posted a new message with the same problem, except mine didn't run right from the start.

I looked in the registry for this entry and it doesn't exist in mine.

Are you sure this entry is typed in right?

And are you sure that it's "Inkfile"? Please check the spelling.

And are you saying that YES, the entry IS supposed to be blank?

Or that it WAS blank and it's NOT supposed to be blank?

I can tell that maybe English isn't your first language, so I kindly ask that you please be careful when you answer me about how you word your answer, so that I don't do the wrong thing in my registry.

Of course, if you did type everything correctly, then as I said, it doesn't exist in my registry anyway.
