Coming Soon... 8start Launcher 1.8
With Tree Shortcuts and Tree Favorites feature, you can create as many shortcuts/favorites as you want.

Perhaps it is the decisive time that I will not use more my small application that creates URL and downloads the favicon (than for the occasion I have compiled and posted on my web space: FL_Url_maker). :)

Ciao skeb,
regarding 8start 1.8 I reported here what Andy wrote on the home page, I do not know if the clock has planned to include it in some future version.
Only Andy can answer.

What you find in this forum is one of my experiment and how could you read is limited use of my last 8Pod skin. :)

If you can not access my Public HD test these:
http://rapidshare.com/files/156225403/8 ... k.rar.html
http://rapidshare.com/files/156099251/F ... r.exe.html

FL_URL_Maker is a small program that I wrote with AutoHotKey to facilitate the inclusion of web links in 8start.
As is well known to users, 8start copy only the favorites of Internet explorer, and not those of other browsers (I think also that download the favicon only if specified in the URL file).
I could simply drag web addresses from firefox in any folder but I could not do without the icon (favicon for the precision).
In theory with the new features of version 1.8 would no longer have need of it.

Really sorry letting you all waiting so long for the 8start 1.8

The core feature - Tree favorites/shortcut of 8start 1.8 have been completed, however, I still need to amend something, to make it easy to be used.

Regarding the clock feature, I think may not do it so soon, as I hope I can fulfill my dream of future version of 8start - 8start with soul...

I hope I can start the project - 8start with soul in version 1.9. This project need help from 8start fans, to provided some funny sounds...

The 1st soul in 8start, is...

8start will say something (by referring to random wave/mp3 files) when u double click the border area. ( Like "Warcraft" game )

e.g.
when you double click on 8start...
8start will say... "Morning, Sir"
when you double click again,
8start will say... "Do you need my help?"
when you double click again,
8start will say... "Why you keep on touching me"

I hope 8start not only can make your desktop clean, make you work easy, it can also make you smile. :-)
