You may want to resize quick launch bar after 8start Launcher installed, to reduce it not to take too many space of your taskbar.(you can expand the quick launch bar size as well)

To do this, right click on a free area of the taskbar and uncheck the 'lock the taskbar' menu item. Now click on the pattern of dots that appears just to the right of the start button, and drag to move the quick launch bar to the width you want, lock the taskbar after done.
